Tomcar Australia management is pleased to announce that John Conomos AO has been appointed to the Tomcar Australia Advisory Board. The appointment of Mr. Conomos will provide Tomcar Australia with an unprecedented level of market insight, local knowledge and strategic vision. John recently stated that he is “delighted to join the board of advisors of Tomcar Australia. It is a privilege to be associated with the product.” Mr. Conomos is one of Australia’s most successful and charismatic automotive industry leaders. Mr. Conomos joined Toyota in 1981, where he was deeply involved in the growth and development of the Japanese car giant. His accession through the company was swift resulting in his appointment to Senior Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Corporation Australia in 1993. In March 2006, Mr. Conomos was appointed President of the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI). Previously, Mr. Conomos had been FCAI Treasurer from 1994 and was granted Life Membership of the Federal Chamber in 1995.
